What our cyclists think...

I enjoy cycling with Wheels for All.

It gives me the chance to meet other people who also have a disability and make new friends. We have so much fun. I highly recommend it!

Jacob Aged 14

Wheels for All is a fantastic place to get some exercise and be able to ride a bike in the fresh air. It has done wonders for my mental health and my physical health too.

The volunteers are really kind and are happy to help you in any way.

Sandra Aged 32

I have been looking for a place to cycle for a long time as I used to cycle before my accident.

Myself and my carer look forward to going every week so we can meet with other people, have fun and cycle in the fresh air without the worry of traffic etc.

Thank You, UK Sportives

April 2023

In a remarkable debut on April 2, 2023, UK Sportives brought together cyclists from across the Northwest for their first-ever cycling sportive. The event, dedicated to giving back to the local community, successfully raised £2240.64, with profits split between Cancer Research UK- Kieran’s Krew and Wheels for All Bolton.

Highlighting the charitable work of Wheels for All Bolton, the event showcased adapted cycles for those with disabilities at the registration HQ and allowed others to utilise the bikes.

The event itself saw Cyclists tackle three diverse routes around the scenic Trough of Bowland, emphasising both the beauty of the landscape and the opportunity for cyclists to support the chosen charities.

UK Sportives is a not-for-profit organisation that ensures that all profits from their events go directly to their chosen beneficiaries.

The success of this inaugural cycling sportive reinforces the impact of community-driven events, turning a simple ride into raising much needed funds.
